Bukom Cafe in Adams Morgan is one of Washington DC's premier West African restaurants, serving authentic Ghanaian and pan-West African cuisine since the 1990s. The restaurant is named after the Bukom neighborhood in Accra, Ghana. Their menu features jollof rice, fufu with light soup, kelewele (spiced plantain), grilled tilapia, red red (bean stew), and other traditional dishes. Bukom doubles as a live music and cultural venue, hosting Afrobeats nights, reggae events and spoken word performances that make it a cornerstone of DC's African community.
